After several attempts to reschedule the 2021 Dr. George Charity Car Show, the Board of the Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association has decided to cancel the 2021 Show and focus its attention on making the 2022 Show the best ever. As should be no surprise to anyone, the uncertainties caused by the pandemic have prevented any firm planning for the rest of 2021. Though we are very disappointed to have to make this decision, we are committed to helping the Desert Cancer Foundation, the benefactor of our show, any way we can.
For those who have already registered, your decision to donate or get a refund will be honored and processed Eventbrite in the next few weeks. We encourage donations to Desert Cancer Foundation where at all possible. Their work supporting cancer victims has not diminished. Last year the show provided a contribution of $120,000 which secured about $1,200,000 in cancer treatments for victims who would otherwise not been able to afford those procedures.
We are now focusing on the Shelby Mustang Sweepstakes to provide additional funding for DCF. If you have not purchased your ticket to potentially win Allen Grant’s personal GT 350R, please do so. This is a unique vehicle that is no longer in production and is sure to become a collector’s item.
